Curated by Festival Co-Directors Shri Yatindra Mishra and Minhal Hasan, the festival pays homage to Ayodhya’s living traditions, offering a unique confluence of art, handicrafts, culture, cuisine and spirituality. It brings together thought leaders, historians, artists and performers from across India to honor the city’s glorious past and vibrant present.

Steeped in mythology and history, Ayodhya is more than a sacred destination—it is a beacon of India’s artistic and spiritual legacy. From the serene Sarayu ghats to its magnificent temples, the city resonates with devotion, wisdom and artistic splendour.

Festival Co-Director

YATINDRA MISHRA

Yatindra Mishra is a celebrated Hindi poet, music and cinema scholar. He has four collections of Hindi poetry, several well received books on Indian Classical music & cinema, including Girija (Based on Girija Devi), Devpriya (Dialogue with Sonal Mansingh), Sur Ki Baradari (Life & Times of Ustad Bismillah Khan) and Akhtari (Life & Music of Begum Akhtar). He has edited the gazetteer of Faizabad titled Shahernama Faizabad and authored Ayodhya: Parampara, Sanskriti, Virasat.

His book Lata: Sur-Gatha won a total of six awards in 2017 including the prestigious 64th National Film Award for Best Writing on Cinema (Swarna Kamal) and MAMI Mumbai Film Festival Award for Best Writing on Cinema. He has served as the Jury Chairman for the 69th National Film Awards. His latest book Gulzar: Hazaar Rahen Mud Ke Dekhi is based on the life and works of filmmaker Gulzar

MINHAL HASAN

Minhal Hasan has over 14 years of experience in the performing arts and cultural festival sector. A long stint with Teamwork Arts, he functioned as a curator, strategist and producer on a diverse range of festivals. His body of work has allowed him to serve various government ministries covering child development, women, health and family welfare, information broadcasting and finance. In 2023, he founded Excurators Events Pvt Ltd, where he holds the position of Managing Director. His firm offers expert consultation, strategy and implementation for events and festivals.
